Spalding is an unincorporated community on the western shore of Eagle Lake in
Lassen County. 

The City of Susanville, our County Seat, is located about 35 miles to the Southeast. 

The Spalding Community Services District (SCSD) is a California Special District. 
This is a Limited Purpose Local Government encompassing all of the privately owned land in Spalding. 

Our Five Member Board of Directors are both residents and registered voters of
Spalding elected to alternating four year terms.  Three of our Directors are up for election in Nov. 2010.
 

The SCSD is active in the Management of the following areas of Community Development and Services.

The SCSD Board of Directors encourages all community members; residents and snowbirds alike, to join them in making Spalding a better place for everyone.

 Did you know that we have a quilting group that meets at the Community Center every Wednesday from 10 - 2 p.m.?  Come meet them and bring a project to start, finish or just find out what others are doing!
