DECEMBER 2014 OFFICE HOURS OPEN DEC. 1- 3, 8 - 10, 17 - 19, & 29  9a.m. to 4p.m.

As many of you are aware, a number of the wells in the Spalding Tract have gone dry.  Some people have re-drilled their wells to deeper levels.  There are a number of people who cannot afford such an effort.  We have worked with Lassen County Office of Emergency Services and Lassen County and have obtained bottled drinking water.  If you are out of water and need drinking water, come to the office M-W 9-4 and we will provide you drinking water.  If you need water at other times, please call 530-249-0966 and we will make arrangements for you to get some!  Also ask us about getting non-potable water. (10-1-2014)

If your well is experiencing low water or appears to be going dry, please fill out the form below!

SCSD is active in the Management of the following areas of Community Development and Services;

Spalding is a summer home tract of approximately 360 acres surrounded on three sides by the Lassen National Forest and on the east by Eagle Lake.  On June 11, 1985, the Lassen County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 84/85-86 ordering the formation of the Eagle Lake Community Services District (CSD) without election and designated the initial Board of Directors.  On September 1, 1992, the CSD Board changed the name of the District from Eagle Lake CSD to Spalding Community Services District.

We have four permanent employees and one extra help person in the summer.  Three of the four work three days per week, while our wastewater operator is a full time employee.

The (SCSD) is a California Special District.  This is a Limited Purpose Local Government encompassing all of the privately  owned land in Spalding with authority under Government Code 61000 or the Community Services District Law.

Our Five Member Board of Directors are both residents and registered voters of Spalding elected to alternating four year terms (GC25041 & EC201).
The SCSD Board of Directors encourages all community members; residents and snowbirds alike, to join them in making Spalding a better place for everyone.
